Techs must possess basic problem solving skills, and be able to follow direction over the phone. The tech will need to have wiring skills that include; Cat5 cabling with termination, wire crimping, wire splicing, wire stripping, and the knowledge to measure continuity and or voltage over Cat5. Tech must also possess a knowledge of basic network terminology, the ability to identify basic components of a network and POS system, ability and knowledge to discover and ping devices connected to the network, and basic customer relation skills to communicate results of work order to store management. Tech will be responsible for returning all equipment replaced or unused by re packaging and applying return shipping label.

Job Description

The Field Technician completes the installation and/or service of people counting systems for REIG and reports to REIG staff. The Field Technician will contact site 24 hours in advance of job schedule when possible; complete any required training; verify equipment is on site; provide all required tools and bring laptop with software to site along with the appropriate guide; conduct self in a professional manner with all REIG clients, staff and site personnel; check-in to site with REIG staff upon arrival and check-out with REIG staff upon completion; complete install/service with the highest standard (no exposed wire, damage to site, unprofessional language, etc); complete and submit required deliverables within 24 hrs of site completion; complete and submit invoices in a timely manner; provide a 30 day warranty on workmanship; provide cable as needed (other materials such as conduit, surface mount, etc. will be reimbursed at cost);Budget properly to allow for a 30-day net for payment; Complete install/service call as needed.
